I am a self taught or experimental artist drawn to colour, light and texture

I’ve been experimenting with different mediums since I first began taking my art seriously in 2014.

Along the way I’ve been painting with both fluid and heavy bodied acrylics, acrylic ink, alcohol ink, enamel, spray paint, resin, oil pastels and watercolours. After working with all of these mediums and seeing their results I realised I was most drawn to works that seemed delicate yet textured.

I prefer to primarily use acrylic inks and paint to achieve the textured and floaty layered finish on canvas, which is a style I have been developing over the past few months.

My paintings are created through intuitive responses, with the process being completely organic and spontaneous.

My inspiration comes from the colours and forms found in nature.

Living between the luscious Barrington Tops and the gorgeous coast of Port Stephens means I have a never ending diverse source of inspiration. My leafy green backyard where I spend a lot of time with my family is also a constant source of natural inspiration.
